Convert file for upload (RFC)

Hello,

I want to upload a pdf file via RFC.

I use function module SO_OBJECT_INSERT. I am using python and pyrfc.

Uploading plain text files works well.

My pdf conent looks like this:

How to I have to convert the pdf binary in python and pass it to the function module?

All functions moduls to convert files are not remote enabled.

The "function modules to convert files" (i.e. in your case you want to pass bytes in a text parameter) are extremely simple code that you can do using Python.

In each text line, pass 255 bytes left aligned. If each character occupy 2 bytes each, do not pass 1 byte per character, pass 2 bytes per character.

NB: I'm not a Python developer so I don't know how characters are handled by Python and pyrfc, how to pass bytes through them.
