Console output of deep structured types declared inline

I see that output to console in Steampunk does not fully support inline types with joins

Maybe there is some workaround? If not, what is the roadmap for implementing this feature?

The issue is not about "inline types with joins", it's just about complex types (or just substructures, I don't know what is exactly supported).

I would say that probably someone has written a (public?) wrapper to make this possible, but maybe not... Any volunteer? 🙂

no, it is not about complex types. If I declare the same structure as above statically it works. Maybe we speaking about the same, I call it "deep structures" and you call "substructures", but nevertheless inline matters here. It is the inline that makes such structures that are unsupported

I said "complex types" as not an official SAP term, I meant anything that is not supported by cl_demo_output. In the following tests, the structure of the table is not called a deep structure, I think, there are no deep elements, only substructures (AKA nested structures).

This one with inline declaration outputs "Data type not yet supported ...":

so yes, it seems smth is unsupported besides inline. So I am kindly waiting for some SAP expert or employee to explain what exactly is not supported in console outputter

BTW, if I re-run your sample like this

           TYPES: BEGIN OF helper_type.
             INCLUDE TYPE /dmo/flight.
             INCLUDE TYPE /dmo/carrier AS car RENAMING WITH SUFFIX car.
           TYPES END OF helper_type.

then it outputs fine. So the problem in deep types (substructures) that are created by such type constructions you used, not in inline, and associations is also not the reason.

With flat structure it works fine.
