Connect to SQL Console and Database Explorer error: 'Cannot create SSL context'

Using VMWare HANA Express.

When going from HANA Cockpit to SQL Console ....

Screen comes up but when the screen accesses HANA SYSTEM and Tenant databases I get the following error:

SQL Error: Connection failed (RTE:[300010] Cannot create SSL context: Error in api.SSL_CTX_set_default_pse_by_name - SSL error [4129]: Unknown error, General error: 0x00001021 | SAPCRYPTOLIB | SSL_CTX_set_default_pse_by_name SAPCRYPTO API error

The PSE file does not....<EOM>

I believe the ‘end of this message’ is ‘does not exit’ as it is truncated.

From the hxehost instance I see the following and it looks like I have the necessary pse files:

Interesting to note that the config files reference another pse file “sapsrv_internal” which I do not have (as seen in DBA Cockpit global.ini file.

Appreciate any help out there as I am at a standstill. Everything is working except for this.

Yeah, I found this too. After tracing the HANA Tools app (xs logs hrtt-service) I still got no further.

However, if you're simply trying to establish a Database Explorer session to issue SQL commands then the following worked for me:

1. Select the "+" icon (i.e. Add a database to the Database Explorer)
2. Select "SAP HANA Database (Multitenant)" from the Database Type drop-down list
3. Supply the following

• Host: hxehost
• Instance: 90
• Database: Tenant Database Name: HXE
• User: SYSTEM
• Password: Your password (the one you specified for all users on the platform)

That got me in. HTH

Could not replicate in my HXE, but may be you should try to upgrade your version? The new HXE 2.0 Rev 31 just became available.
