Hi all,

I am new in SAP visualization libraries and am wondering of there is any difference between SAP crystal reports and SAP Lumira (which has evolved from Visual Intelligence).

I have to make a decision for creating a BI solution over a SAP HANA database and instead of making the user(manager) interact separately with visualization, I want to programmatically create a frontend for the reports (outside the managed environment in SAP applications/cloud) to the user. Is crystal reports tied up with specific technology?

Mainly, I want to understand how do these two technologies relate/compare/stack up against each other?

Hi Sumit,

SAP Lumira and SAP Crystal reports are completely different products. One is a Visualization tool and the other is a reporting solution.

You could perhaps compare CR with WebI not Lumira with CR.
