Hello everybody,
I am using the WebI to generate a dashboard in the BI-Launchpad. When I use a link to go to another report it opens a new window (or a new frame/tab within the exisiting window). Is there any way to add a "CLOSE"- or "BACK"-button to the newly opened window and jump back to the "original" report?
I do not want the enduser (board of directors) to have e.g. 5 open windows and always have to search the "original" window. I have found several ideas for scripting, but I do not know how to use scripting in WebI.
Thank you very much and best regards
Gesa
Dear James,
thank you for your answer!
I have already tried this (and in general it works) - but with this solution the parent report just opens in another window again. I want to avoid having so many open windows and would like to actually close the report/window/tab when jumping back. Any suggestions?
Thanks and best regards
Gesa

Would a simple opendoc link pointing back to the parent report solve the problem?
Could just add it as a free standing cell with 'Back' Displayed as the text
