CI-DS vs Data Intelligence

Hello Experts,

I am working on SAP Cloud Integration for Data Service (CI-DS).

In the most recent SAP IBP Strategic Roadmap webinar, it was mentioned that 'Integration of SAP IBP with other external systems (SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA On Premise, Non-SAP systems, etc.) using Data Intelligence' in 2022 or later.

Does it mean, CI-DS will be replaced by Data Intelligence in future ?

Thanks for asking the question . The use of SAP Data Intelligence is being evaluated ,We absolutely understand the perspective of our long-term customers that run their entire supply chain business with IBP and a high number of data flows in SAP Cloud Integration for data services. However so far, no decision has been made if, what and when may be used for SAP IBP Integration needs. Currently , there are no plans for a CPI-DS replacement, we will continue investing in SAP Cloud Integration for data services for IBP usecase.

I was wondering if you could update the response/viewpoint for CI-DS vs BTP Data Intelligence. We are going to be implementing IBP and were wondering if we could use BODS on-premise or go straight to BTP Data Intelligence. From what we have heard CI-DS is no longer in the long term roadmap for SAP.

Hello Kevin , You cannot use BODS on-premise or BTP Data intelligence with IBP . CI-DS is the strongly recommended for IBP time series based planning . CI-DS is bundled with IBP application license ,we will continue investing in CI-DS roadmap for IBP usecases .Please check out this help link for finding the right integration tool with IBP .
