Hi Team,
I have configured charm for 3 system landscape and while importing TOC or main TR in quality system , the particular Toc got imported but import buffer queue got completely deleted and tried with main TR also, same thing was happened.
I am wondering that why its deleting all the entries from buffer queue and only 2 Toc's which is assigned to that charm project and rest of all are old entries which was not assigned to any project.
I have done the TR import from Task list for one time to import that particular TR/Toc ( schedule import job for transport request(/TMWFLOW/SCMA_TRORDER_IMPORT)
can you please help me how to resolve this issue and guide me how to configure the Toc / TR import automatically without doing via task list.

Hi All,
For that issue , i have checked in the tp system log in managed system and i could see that its using IMPORT ALL strategy.because of this clean buffer command is also executing to delete the buffer.
Could you please help me how to change the import strategy from import all to import single so that it will not delete the buffer everytime.

Hi Dilip,
Thanks for your suggestion.
When i was activating the charm project , that time it was mass transport strategy. Two days before only i have changed to single transport strategy in all managed system.
could you suggest me, once the charm project is activated , if i do any changes in stms will it reflect or not?
Regards,
Lakshmanan V
Hello Lakshmanan,
Any changes to TMS configuration post activation of ChaRM will not be considered(in the sense the tables are only updated partly and old entries are still considered) and still the old entries will only be used,
So Simply, any changes post charm activation will be only partially updated and the old configuration will be in effect.
I would suggest any changes to TMS, SMI project after the generation of the task list, you will have to complete the task list and generate a new one for the configuration to reflect.

Hi All,
I need to provide one more information regarding this issue over here.
In our 3 system landscape , we are having separate transport directory and transport group for each system.
whether this transport strategy will support for charm scenario?
It may cause or impact this issue?
please assist.

Hi Anjali and Rishav,
Thanks for your valuable response.
We are understood that the transport get importing through task list as per the charm standard scenario. We are able to schedule the transport request without any interrupt and also the transport request has successfully imported in managed system (Dev-->QA1) but in the same time all the entries in the buffer queue getting deleted automatically.
Hope now you are understand the issue clearly.
We are not able to find the root cause of this issue. Could you please help and share your inputs to resolve this error.
Thanks in Advance.

Lakshmanan V.

Hi Lakshman
TOC will automatically get transported to quality system when you move the status "To be Tested" you need to releaes the sub task only.
Please check below KBA for the import jobs.

configure periodic import jobs in Change Request Management

Hi Lakshmanan,
I am pretty unclear about the issue you have described.
If you have configured ChaRM, why do you want to import transports out of task list. You can easily schedule import jobs to run hourly and based on your transport strategy, it will automatically pick up the released transports to import to the target system.

Anjali.
