We are planning to perform an OS migration from Windows to Linux (hence an R3load export
and import will be performed).
Part of the project is also for the target systems to be on Oracle 19, while the source systems
are still on Oracle 18 (and some of them on Oracle 12).
Please tell me a clear YES / NO answer: Is it possible to export from let's say Oracle 12 or Oracle 18 and import directly into Oracle 19, or it is a must that the source and the target systems have
the same database version ?
Many thanks in advance!

Hi Symon,
Yes, It is possible to import directly on Oracle 19.
Not necessary that the source and the target systems have the same database version.
Remember Target system must have the same or higher Oracle version than in source system.
