Cannot update or create a Purchase Request item through a custom object (ByDesign)

Hi All,

Our client asked for a custom Material Object Value Selector on the ByDesign Purchase Request screen, because they have some

extension fields for their products and they want to use these fields to filter on the material ovs. I know that the standard material ovs cannot be changed, so I created a custom ovs and it works fine, but I couldn't figureout how to use this custom ovs on the purchase request screen. I know that the original Product ID field cant use myovs, so I created an extension field that uses my custom ovs. But I could not change the PR item material association tothe material which was selected on my custom ovs because in the item node the itemProduct node has only read-only elements.

I have no clue how to achieve that. Is there a way to do that?
Can anyone help me with this?
