Can not delete Model

Hello together, when trying to delete a model this message is coming up. We dont understand what is the meaning of "One private file"? How we find out in which file the model is used?

I think it means that someone created a private (non-public) story which uses that model.

I think you can find out to whom this story belongs by using the usage tracking data: SAP Analytics Cloud Usage Tracking - SAP HANA Journey | SAP HANA Journey

Hi Christian, that is correct. The problem is as the name of the object is not appearing i dont know whom to contact. The system design is not very good here by the way. At least I should be able the name of the object and by whom it was created dont you think?

The above mentioned reports dont help me here as I need to know what is the name of the object and the creator but this information I could not find there any dependencies between the models and in which story they are used.

oliver76 I'm really not sure, so please excuse me if I'm saying something wrong here. But isn't it possible to use the model behind those usage reports?

Use the model "SAP__SAC_USAGE_OTHER_OBJECTS" and filter for the model you are interested in. With the "Dependents Description" you can find the stories using that model. When you then filter for stories based on these dependents you can see the people who created those stories.

I checked this behaviour in a test tenant. I can confirm that this message occurs because someone created a private (non-public) story which uses that model AND the user trying to delete the model has full model control rights but is not an ADMIN user.

This is by design and a result of the security model used in SAC. A non-admin user should not have any default rights on any object that is not specifically shared with them. As a side effect this means that even the name of the object will not be visible to them.

If you need to identify what is the story or other object that references this model you need to ask someone with the Admin role to view the model. For an Admin user the related objects will be filled in with the name of the object.

Have you checked related objects? You can check it when you have opened your model in tab "Model".
