Call JAVA application hosted on another server from ABAP

Good Day!

I have a java system hosted on same NW server as ABAP. To connect with the JAVA system from ABAP, we created an RFC destination and everything is fine so far. Now this JAVA system is moving out of NW server. Could anyone let me know how the connections can now be established between these two as the existing JNDI lookup does not work?

The best inegration can be described by only, as we do not know about your system setup details. But still to help you out, below would be my points to consider,

1. With JNDI, comes LDAP, hence trusting the LDAP from the new NW Java system, I mean you might require to add in Trusted systems in addition.

2. Might be some application Resources regarding JNDI connection details

3. Some Jco, as in ABAP we use T-rfc & correspondance registered program in NW-Java in Jco

4. Can be some destinations as well in NW Java

5. Like we do for BW after splitting & putting in seperate server, comes some configuration in irj like for SSO type or portal-content activation

6. Not sure if any custom content or non-standard you have deployed, so in that scenario you might need to check in NWA--> Start & Stop --> Java Applications. If any content is changed at OS-level via \usr\sap\SID not via \sapmnt\SID, in that case you might need to manually adjust that after migration
