Hi Team,

i have created simple view with Analytical Privilege Set to SQL Analytical Privilege in Web IDE XSA for HANA, i was able activate/ Build the calculation view successfully but when i am trying to do the data preview getting the error as insufficient privileges as below.

Could not open 'START123_HDI_STARTHDB_1'.'start123.startHDB::CV_VBAK_AP'. Error: (dberror) [258]: insufficient privilege: Detailed info for this error can be found with guid 'F67FC3FB4563E04681299A03306F849B' .

i tried in in hana studio also by creating and doing the data preview but getting the same error .

attached screen shot of calculation view properties.screen4.png

if i use Classical or blank as Analytical Privilege type in the calculation view Properties then i was able to do the data preview

.

Please help in this regard.

Thanks,

Nikil

Hi Nikil

The Application User of the HDI container needs to be granted the Analytic Privilege in order to data preview.

Please refer to section "How do I assign analytic privileges to the user that runs a data preview in Web IDE?" in the blog https://blogs.sap.com/2019/11/13/faq-modeling-in-web-ide/

Hi Raghavendra,

Thanks for the reply , i have not created any analytical privilege yet , just i have created a simple view and set the analytical privilege as SQL Analytical Privilege instead of keeping it as Blank or Classical Privilege in view properties of the Calculation View. Then tried data preview with same user id but getting the error.

Could not open 'START123_HDI_STARTHDB_1'.'start123.startHDB::CV_VBAK_AP'. Error: (dberror) [258]:

insufficient privilege: Detailed info for this error can be found with guid 'F67FC3FB4563E04681299A03306F849B' .

if I Create the Analytical Privilege to restrict the data access then the above mentioned ans may help , but my scenario is simple just i changed Calculation View Analytical Privilege Property to SQL Analytical Privilege , attached screen shot for reference.

Thanks,

Kiran

Hi Kiran

If you set the property to SQL Analytic Privilege in Calculation view, then you have to define a privilege object. If you dont intend to define it yet, then you can select blank in the dropdown in Calculation View.
