BW Developers,
I am new to SAP BW Development, so please pardon my ignorance. May I ask what is the significance of a Key Figure when creating an infocube? Also, is it possible to create infocubes and store data in it without a key figure?
BR,
T
Request clarification before answering.
you need at least 1 KF for an InfoCube.
Kind Regards
Mike

Generally, master data is contained in the info object
Key figures are typically numbers that go in the info cube.
I recommend a basic BW book to get started: https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asin=B012J48PR4&preview=newtab&linkCode=kpe&ref_=cm_sw_r_kb_dp_V5NF...

Hello tammy.powlas3 ,
The link you shared seems not working anymore. Are you able to give me the title instead, maybe I can search for it?
Also, is it possible to have an infocube with no key figure in it?

Oops - We weren't able to locate your book.
We're sorry. Please search for the book that was shared with you below.
Apologies, the link isn't working for me either.
Try this one: https://www.sap-press.com/sap-bw-74-practical-guide_3733/
I don't know why you would have an infocube without a key figure. That is part of the fact table.
Also see this book - https://www.ebay.com/itm/313077271410?epid=211801930&hash=item48e4dc0b72:g:SnIAAOSwVV1fQBl1 I don't own it but it seems like a good start.
