Is the Business Objects Intelligence platform required for Business Objects analysis 1.3? If yes what functionality does it provide?

Hi John,

As Henry metioned BOE/ BIP is not a mandatory requirement for AO 1.3.

You can use native BW connections or HANA connections.

Hi,

It's not strictly required (a BW system alone wil suffice),  but it does provide Enterprise content management and authentication.  (i.e. you login using BOE platoform authentication, and consume the OLAP connections stored in the repository)
