if am extraxt the data from source sytem (say .r/3)to BI landscape ,wen am replicate into BI the system asks version,if am selecting existing vesion
and start to mapping in transformation and all .
is it possible to load data successfully into cube?
after replicating the existing version datasource if am installed the business content wat will happen?

Hi,
Business Content is version dependent Yes. They come in D(delivery version) You will find in RSA5. When you change, they are in M Modified version RSA6.
If your requirements match, then you can load your cube with that DS.
After replicating, if you install from BC, it will overwrite any changes you might have made. But it won't affect already existing data in Cube.
Steps you have to follow for any DS in Lo cockpit are
Activate DS in RSA5
Edit or change in RSA6
Run LBWE and make sure your DS is active.
Run RSA3 to check the records,
If the records are 0, Fill Setup Table using OLI*BW, *is the number of the application number..MM / SD etc.
Or Go to SBIW and navigate to "Fill Setup Table" and fill the Setup Table.
Check in RSA3 again to check the no. of records.
In BW side Replicate DS and do the rest of the loading process to load.
Hope this Helps.

o.k am not getting u the right answer.
see, after replicating the datasource which is old version,as soon as u perform business content activation,
hoe the dependent objects will be mapp in transformation,
ie. from r/3 to BI business content data source , the terminology between these two will be difficult,so how to u correctly mapping in transformation,?
wat wre the procedures?
