BPM DC error on Track

Hi,

Getting BPM DC error after resync. Process is designed in my colleague system, there no errors, and tested application well.

After he check-in the DC, I resynced DC in my system, but unfortunately could find errors at all automatic activites.

Where as WebDynpro DCs are working fine in track, only problem with BPM DCs. I tried by creating new BPM DC, it is working fine in my system after check-in others getting same error what I got.

Please suggest me what it the best practices to copy BPM DC from local development to Track.

I could see abcdsetup.bpmn showing error. When I build the DC got following errors-

Hello Ian.

I was in the same trouble, as you, and after doing some search in the forum , I find some guidelines for this task.

There are 2 methods for importing local DC's to NWDS Track SC' but after doing and re-doing the steps i find the only way it works fine for me. (this is a third method maybe)

Follow this steps:

1.- Create your Product + SC (product asociation) + SC for your Developement Componets. (SLD Admin)

2.- In your SC for developement, define all netweaver components dependencies. note that BPM proyect requires this components:

(check the SAP note no. 1463541, but, here is the default SC'c for BPM proyects)

- BPEM_MM

- CU-BASE-JAVA

- CU-BASE-WD

- DATA-MAPPING

- ECM-CORE

- ENGFACADE

- ESCONF_BUILDT

- ESMP_BUILDT

- FP-INFRA

- FRAMEWORK

- MOIN_BUILDT

- SAP_BUILDT

- SERVICE-COMP

- THL-CORE

- WD-RUNTIME

3.- Check in and import all your SAP Netweaver Software Components in to the track for developement and consolidation runtime systems (vía landscape configurator).

4.- In your track, you must reimport all the SLD objects (go to "domain data" option and click "Update CMS". Note this must be do, after "ANY" change in your SLD SC's, because the refresh doesn't occurrs automatically.

5.- Edit your track and synconize your software components, click on "track data" -> "Syncronize SC dependencies", and you must be shure to accept SLD definition instead others. This result in a "pop up" that requires to "Save and Reimport" and please verify the list in detail and take note for all dependent objects that requires a "new" import.

This means, that you don't have the component and you must do the step #3, only for those components (the "new" ones)

6.- Go to your NWDS and perform the SLD login. After this, Import your Developement Configuration (Track definition) in your workspace that contains your local BPM proyect.

7.- Finally, this is the trick. Open your Localdevelpement workspace and expand your proyect SC's. select your DC's and select the "MOVE" option. This opens an confirmation dialog and you are able to see the SC's of your empty track. At this point you must indicate where you want to move your software components and be aware, with the options in this window. (I suggest make some backup of your local developement previous this step)

8.- After moving all DC's in to the corresponding SC's you must check the "permisions" folder in the DC properties page, and be shure that permisions are correct. (make this task for all imported DC's)

9.- For every DC you are now able to "Add to source Control". and create the corresponding "Activitie" for NWDI.

10.- Check in your "Activities", perform full syncronize and local DC build.

11- Activate your "Activities" and you are done.

Thanks for your detailed explaination.

I have a question here, all my local development dcs are created without nameserver, what would be the impact if I move dcs to track without nameserver.

On the other hand I defined nameserver for track so If I create any new dc on track I could see 'home' as nameserver. So wht would be the impact without nameserver If I move DCs to track.
