BI Launchpad prompting windows security box while accessing.

HI All,

We are having Windows Security Prompt pop-up issue while accessing BILaunchPad URL(BI 4.2 SP9). Currently we are using microsoft edge browser Version 107.0.1418.42 (Official build) (64-bit).

Also, we are using Windows AD authentication, so while having this issue, if we are entering our network credential details here in this prompt, BIlaunchPad is authenticated with SSO otherwise, if we cancel this prompt, then we need to enter the password manually.

Could you please let us know how we can fix this issue?

Business Objects uses 100% Microsoft configuration for SSO (kerberos spnego) and the current guide is https://userapps.support.sap.com/sap/support/knowledge/en/2629070

If you can verify the service account is following that guide exactly (especially delegation to specified services) then the tomcat hostname http://tomcathostname:port/BOE/BI should work with any browser.

now the tomcat FQDN will depend on your browser security, when a URL has a . the browsers applies different security (edge, chrome etc). We have documented some work arounds if your browser is not allowing SSO but this is all completely outside the BI product and outside SAP control.
