BEx Analyzer Performance Issue

Hello Everyone,

Currently We have BI 7.0 installed. We have a BEx query which is running fine in RSRT and executes in 30 seconds for around 50,000 records. If i execute same BEx query in BEx Analyzer than it takes more than 3 minutes to execute the same BEx query. We have MS office 2003.

SAP Logon pad configuration is given below :

Release : 720

File Version : 7200.3.14.1077

Bulid : 1382596

Patch Level : 14

Hot Fix : 1

My BW System configuration is given below

Is it a patch level issue ?

SAPLogon 7.20 isn't supported anymore since april 13. I recommend you try with SAPLogon 7.30 and patch level4 for BI Addon.  It looks like it could be a frontend issue since you don't expirience a performance issue in rsrt.

Actually BEx Analyzer(Excel version) rendering is taking long time in your case.

Try to connect to Analyzer through RRMX t-code from BW.

Hi,

Please take a look at SAP Note: 1101143. It is a collective note on performance issues in Analyzer. A reason that comes to my mind is that your macro security settings may be too high. Please check them and look at the note I mention.

Thanks for your reply. There are so many notes. I will go through specific to BEx analyzer notes. I don't have any macro written for BEx Analyzer.

Hi,

The note I have given is specifid to Bex, and what I say about macros is that your macro security settings in excel may be high. It doesn't matter whether you have macro or not written in analyzer.
