Hello everyone
Can somebody tell us what we should do for working Bex Analyzer 7.0? We can not open query tool and so on. But Bex Query Designer 7.0 works fine.
We have SAP BW 7.0, SAP NW BI 7.0, Support Package for SAP BW SAPKW 70016
There is information for Bex Query Designer: AddOn 7x. Support Package 3, Revision 519
Thanks for answers. Points are guarantied

Patch your MS office with the file through link below:
I met the same issue recently and fortunately, later I realized a software patch is necessary for MS excel.
Hope it will help.

Dear All,
I have the same issue.
When I try to run the BeX Analyzer, either from Start->Business Explorer->Analyzer or from RRMX transaction,
I can't open any queries/workbooks and I can see all the icon in German.
The BeX 3.x, instead, works properly.
I have the following environment:
Windows XP with SP2
Office 2007 Pro
Sap GUI 7.10 Level Patch 14
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance
Alessandro
Svetlana,
can you elaborate a little more on what is happening (rather not happening)?
Before installing/reinstalling all the tools, there other things that could be checked.
Does BEx Analyzer open at all?
Are you trying to start it from the Start menu or from the RRMX transaction?
Was it installed in the first place?
If it opens, are you able to connect to the server? Can you open up any workbooks?
bexanalyzer.xla is the component that gets installed in order for the Analyzer to run properly. Do you have the macro setting lowered enough in Excel + have the trust VBA projects enabled? (Macro settings should be set to low security)
thanks

Hello,
is there a file Bexanalyser.xla in :
C:\Program Files\Common Files\SAP Shared\BW ?
or
C:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\Bw ?
Try to execute this file.. is the BEx Analyser working fine now ?

Hi Svetlana.
If the language is in German you might have forgot to restart the OS after installing the BI frontend or between the installation of the BI frontend and a BI support package.
I would recommend that you uninstall the BI frontend, reinstall the frontend, reboot, install the BI support package, reboot and then open the BEx Analyzer. This worked for us.
Hope it helps.
BR
Stefan
