I'm having trouble with adding fields from a customer table to the standard-transactions for business partners. In BUPT I have created an additional application, 3 field groups, one view including the 3 field groups and a section including my view. I've added the section to a standard screen.
I've implemented the functions for Events ISSTA, ISDAT, XCHNG, DTAKE, DSAVC, DSAVE, DLVE1 and DLVE2 plus a subscreen for my fields including function for PBO and PAI. Still the fields will not appear on the screen. I've debugged the beginning of the transaction and the transaction seems to be aware of my section on the screen, but the section refers to a wrong view BUS000.
Did I miss something? Has somebody already done something like this?
Thanks for any suggestions, Kathrin!
Request clarification before answering.
Have you associated your view with the business partner role?
This can be done either the old way of associating the view directly with the role, or the new way by associating the view with a "dataset" (a grouping of views) which is in turn allocated to the role.
Cheers,
Scott

No worries. Just out of interest, are you doing this as part of an enhancement to the CRM business partner, or to the business partner in an industry solution like SAP Utilities.
I've only enhanced the business partner within an IS-U system, but I'm pretty sure the whole concept has since been generalised and re-used in CRM.

Hello again, Scott.
Maybe you have done this one also: Next step is, I want my customer fields to show in CIC as well. We're using L-shape layout. I found Customer-Enhancement ECSFO001 for component ISUSDPART, but I'm not sure if it fits my problem. I don't want to search for a business partner by values in the customer table, I want to show the fields only in display mode. Plus, I want part of the fields to show in the list of search results. (It's actually only one field saying: This person was our customer before and he never paid.)
Do you have any hints? Thanks, Kathrin!
No I don't think you want ECSFO001 for ISUSDPART either. I recall implementing that last year to disable the create/change functions in the "Search and Display" component as they bypassed BDT field-group security.
I'm not sure where in CIC you want your custom field to display. Do you want to show it in the navigation area?
As for search results (ISUFINDER), I seem to recall that it was possible to configure the finder to show additional attributes of the BOR object type, such as ISUPARTNER. But I might be having myself on there as it's only a vague memory.
As standard, the finder displays columns for the the key and default attribute of the search object, in this case BOR object type ISUPARTNER. The default attribute in this case is name shorttext (can't recall what the attribute is called right now). You could implement a sub-type and override the implementation of this default attribute so that you also display an icon of some sort in the name text if your custom field is set.
Cheers,
Scott
Hi people! I think I'm with the same problem.
I created all the necessary things with my BDT for extend Business Partner.
When I put my section inside an existing screen the fields are shown normally.
But when I create a NEW screen, the new "tab" appears in the sequence but the fields of my new screen are not showed.
What I missed? What i'm doing wrong?
Can anyone give me a tip?
Thanks in advance!
