Hello,
I need some advise on import of basis support package.
Would importing basis packages affect users usage of SAP like screens getting dumped or transaction cancelled?
Or this may happen only if Application support package is being imported?
Or it is safe to import Basis support package where only minor performance impact will result?
Would appreciate any advise given.

Hi Pascal:
Sometimes when several Support Pack are to be installed it will take much time to complete, and some times the processing window allowed for you to work in the system is no enough.
To solve this since applying support packs in the normal way during business is not recommended, you can try using the well-known method "Downtime Minimized" during the SP implementation; in this way you can start your support package application during normal user's operation time and the critical SP stage will run only after business hours; the system will prompt you choose when to start this phase.
With this approach you can save time and let your users work smoothly when you are currently applying support pack in a safety way.
