BAL Application Log on SAP Cloud Platform

Hi,

Doesn anybody have any examples of usage of BAL Application Log (e.g. class CL_BAL_LOGGING) in SCP? It seems that the class is whitelisted, so it's easy to add some logging data there, but does any functionality for displaying the application log exist in SCP?

Or should developers use "Application Log " service instead? But I haven't found also any examples how to use this service from ABAP on SCP.

According to the current release plan, we want to offer enhancend features for application log with release 2008 - mid of August *). We recommend to use the BAL Application Log, but maintaining log objects/subobjects incl. transport plus read API requires 2008 release.
