Authorization variable

Hi All,

We have a set of reports which has country as the input in the selection. Currently users can see cross coutry data. (eg: US users can see Canda data and vise versa). But now we want to restrict US users to view only US data and Canada users their data.

Can this be done by authorization variable? if yes could anyone help me with the steps on how we can acheive this. else what would be the better solution.

Hi,

Yes auth variable will be the preferred solution in this case. You'll need to get roles created for the county object and assigned to users (you can ask the Basis guys to do this).
