Hello everyone,
I am currently occupied with the dismantling of obsolete transportation requests.
Here, a colleague has made some developments and transported them into the test system using transport of copies.
In the transport request, authorization objects and defined authorization fields were also created.
First, I took care of the authorization object. After extensive research, I found out that it cannot be deleted because it had been transported in the past (via copies). However, the transport occurred so long ago that the object is no longer to be found in the test system, as several system copies from the production to the test system have taken place since then. Therefore, I moved the object into a class of obsolete objects using SU21.
Now, to my actual problem: I wanted to delete the authorization field afterward, but this field is referenced in the previously mentioned authorization object, and I can't change that anymore. Consequently, I don’t have the option to delete the field using SU20.
The only solution that comes to mind, admittedly very unsightly, would be to simply delete the field using SE11. However, doing so would certainly not be advisable due to the resulting inconsistencies.
Does anyone have an approach on how I can remove the authorization field?
Many thanks in advance and kind regards!
