alerts for process steps

Hi All,

I have configured the BPMON for the below process and I want to setup the alerts for the below process steps

Process steps

1. XML s received post splitting logic

2. Convert into IDOC XML's

I did the right click under elements for the above process steps ->new->operations->Alert and I get the creating alerting object screen.

I dont know what alerting object should be selected for the above process steps 1 and 2.

Please let me know what alerting object should be selected to define the alert
