Adhoc reporting

Hi,

I am new to BI 7.0. I want to know about adhoc reporting in BI 7.0.

Can anyone please tell me with example.

Is there any concept like user can pick up the data or select the data from free charcaterstics whenever he needed.

This can be done via the Ad-hoc Query Designer in the Web Application Designer
