Hi

What is the service in ESS that you are trying to use that requires PDF?

You can utilise the Adobe Documents Services for ESS services.

If you just want to display pdf documents you can use the KM in Portal.

Hope this helps - Mike

hi mike,

well, i want to add pdf-documents on different places.

first of all -> at the login-page of the portal.

then in the main-menu of ESS.

and maybe at the learning portal from sap learning solution.

ads is not working here, cause it is not running on iseries plattform.

and YES, i ONLY want to display 'ready to go' documents.

can i change the link on the 'help'-tag in top of the portal (after you logged in). now it links to http://help.sap.com/content/documentation/netweaver/docu_nw_04s.htm -> where to customize that ? i want to open my pdf-file there !

Martin,

You can change the Help url in the masthead iview property.

In order to link the pdf in KM you need to use webdav url of the docunmet in the KM

Below is an excerpt from the Help documentation that should help you:

"The Help link, by default, launches SAP Help Portal. You can customize the URL so that the link goes to a site of your choosing.

In the Portal Catalog, go to Portal Users --> Standard Portal Users --> Default Framework Page --> Masthead iView.

Open the Masthead iView in the Property Editor, and in the Help Link URL property, enter the URL of the site you want launched when the user clicks the Help link."
