Adding external users to XSUAA

I want to make an app using XSUAA. In Cloud Platform I can add SAP users in SAP ID Service, to provide the authorization to access my app. But how can I add external users? I want some external users to use my app hosted too in CF. How can this be done? If using SAP IDP, then how? Or any alternative way.

Hi Rahul,

the XSUAA service doesn't hold any user information. All users are managed in the IdP.

In other words, you need to add a custom IdP (e.g. SAP IAS) to which you can add users and allow self-signup.

PS: When you are using SAP ID Service (the default IdP) today, you cannot add users. You can only assign role collections to existing users.

and do we have any trial for IAS, so that I can try few things first

Yes, you can add external users. You can even allow social signup via Facebook, Twitter etc.
