Access PostgreSQL from pgadmin 4 from local machine

Hi All,

Can we access PostgreSQL(instance in BTP Cloudfoundry) from pgadmin 4, without any application mapped to it. Any specific steps to follow. 

Currently I am getting "Unable to connect to server : connection timeout expired"

Note: I have not enabled SSH tunneling yet.

Hi Prasanna, you may refer to https://community.sap.com/t5/technology-blogs-by-sap/postgresql-on-sap-btp-are-you-looking-for-offic... to see the options: Check the blog post 'PostgreSQL - Activate (create) an extension using pgAdmin tool' and also 'PostgreSQL - (how-to) deploy and use pgAdmin web version'. You may also leverage the Public IP access feature, but this valid for new instances and it will not be possible to deactivate. Regards Antonio

Thank you Antonio for the response.

I was looking at how we can connect to MS SQL Server from SSMS (local machine) without any dependency to application, similar way to connect from PGadmin (local machine) to to PostgreSql in SAP BTP Cockpit.
