Access Hyperion Essbase Cube

Hi all!

I know there is a Voyager Product which should enable BO XI to use Essbase Cubes directly.

I am now trying to use the Essbase Cube within the Desktop Intelligence.

BO XI R3.1 FP 1.7

done - Created a Connection to Essbase Cube

done - Created a Universe with Designer based on the connection - changed nothing

fail - Create a document with BO XI Desktop Intelligence based on this universe

Message: "You are not authorized to use this type of universe in this application"

User: Administrator

So how can I use the connection to get access on the Essbase Cube?

Is there a limitation or a right which is not set?

Hi Hakan,

Could you please review the following information to resolve the issue.

Desktop Intelligence is not designed to create reports on top of OLAP universes or SAP BW universes.

But can you help me with following: Why are there connectors to Essbase within the Designer. And how can I utilitze this unverses?
