ABAP CDS data model design

Hi All

I am looking for some guidance on how to redesign a complex custom ABAP CDS data model which has been developed inefficiently and which is causing a lot of performance issues. The main ABAP CDS entity has a lot of joins and it takes a huge amount of HANA database time to execute the query. I am looking for some guidance to see how best to break down the one large CDS entity with multiple joins to multiple smaller CDS entities?

It's very simple: ask the HANA database administrator to identify the reason of the performance issue, then adapt your join as per the administrator recommendations.
