Two weeks ago, SAP Go-To-Market-Kick-Off Meeting was held in Singapore. As part of APAC BTP team, I was tasked to build a mini networking application, so that it could be used in BTP dinner gathering, for BTP colleagues from different regions to network and get to know each other.

I was using only BTP components to build this networking application, with low-code SAP Build Apps to realise front-end design and functionalities, and pro-code SAP Build Code for back-end services, and SAP HANA Cloud, SAP HANA database to store information. In collaboration with my colleague Png Xiao Qi, we managed to create a leaderboard by SAP Analytics Cloud to show live data streaming from the application, which modelled in SAP Datasphere.

The functionalities include:

  1. Create an user profile and retain user profile throughout
  2. Generate an unique QR code of the current user profile
  3. Scan other's QR to pop up profile infomation
  4. Show scanned profile and generate random ice-breaker question
  5. Save user profile and scanned profile to database
  6. Live leaderboard to show the most connected profile (Networ-KING)

So how did I use BTP to realise this UI and functionalities? Refer below for the UI, Back-end Services, Data Schema, and Dashboard:
