Process oriented storage control

Dear All ,

I am trying to execute process oriented storage control steps . kindly refer below screen shots of steps followed.

As below my storage process has 3 steps , Unload - IB01 , Deconsolidate- IB02 , Putaway- IB03 .

My requirement is to complete 3 steps in sequence thereby confirming final inventory to storage bin.

First step IB01  "unload" in storage process  worked correctly as below .

When creating task to move HU i am getting error.

I have defined consolidation group as below .

My Query's are as below.

1. Why system is directing inventory to destination bin as it should be executing storage process step2:  IB02 and inventory should have been directing to deconsolidation work center.

2. I have defined consolidation group but error persists.

Kindly guide me on error , please let me know if you need any further information.

Dear All ,

Thanks a lot for your time and reply.

I created new storage type and assigned consolidation group and created sort.

Now my task is getting created but i am getting an update error as there is some conflict in dimensions , i am trying to figure out exact cause for same. Below screen shot attached for your expert guidance.

Please cross verity the UoM of Dimensions of Product Master that you have mentioned and in the Bin Master.

Jony, if system can't convert UoM i would look and see if you have the right entries maintained in CUNI transaction code..  Make sure you are converting your UoM accordingly

Hi

Take new del.

Sort the bins for putaway first.

then unload >

and after unload wt confirmation check decon wt is created in mon.

or check SMQ2 for error wt-HU queue.

Jinoy,

do you have the right config that enables sorting using the sort transaction?

EWM IMG --> Master Data --> Activities Area --> Define Sort Sequence for Activity Area.  you need to have an entry here for the putaway activity and your activity area.  If you do have this can you show us the error you are getting while trying to sort.

Kindly go as per FC, given details, he is correct.

Or let us know whats actual issue you  are facing.

EWM IMG --> Master Data --> Activities Area --> Define Sort Sequence for Activity Area.

And sort the bin via sor tcode.

even though have fixed bin for decon you need to sort and then run the Business process.

Check storage type and activity area and activity combination.

Your reply can make use  to resole your issue.

I am having trouble in sorting these storage bins , these are fixed bins and not able to execute sort using /SCWM/SBST - Sort Storage Bins.

Once i assign aisle ,stack , level and consolidation group as above i am not able to sort these bins , prior to assignment i am able to do so.

Hi Jinoy,

you mean there are no bins coming up when you use the sorting transaction?

First thing would be to check if the fields in the bins are filled as you enter them in the sorting (like the screenshot). Do you really have "01" in the bin or only "1"?

And I assume you did that right - then you need to check for notes. There was an issue I once experienced as well, that was that after changing anything in a bin, the field with this information was filled wrong, please check note 1815400.

Your Bins in this storage Type contains Aisle, Section, Stack values and If those do not match with Sort Sequence criteria, It do not appear. Either you clear those value in your Bin Master using /scwm/LS11 or work with new storage type.
