Hello,
We are facing the following issue: LDAP messages are getting stuck due to massive spikes of system memory usage (often approx. 90GB) during planning of deliveries on freight orders in EWM. There are two apparent spikes, once while adding stages, and once while adding delivery items. The delivery items spike is particularly high and is usually what kills the process after several hours. The orders experiencing this are linear freight orders and the planning of deliveries on the freight orders is in EWM.
Our goal is: To decrease the time and improve the memory usage as this is not useable in a live environment.
Our questions are: How can a reduction of resource usage be achieved, will methods/resource usage change depending on if EWM or TM is used to plan, and has anyone else experienced similar?
The orders generating these messages are not particularly abnormal and are what the company needs to do daily. Any support or knowledge we be greatly appreciated. This has already been reported to SAP with an OSS ticket, but the answer is long in coming.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Nicholas,
have you already done a performance trace. Something that really uses a lot memory is often the stage helper which is used in different areas and increases with stages and items, so exactly as in your example. Do you have automatic charge calculation turned on(looking at your screenshot above) and is the high memory consumption during calculation?
Regards,
Emanuel
