Hi Marisa,

I sent you csv 2.0 samples on yr ID.

Regarding yr problem of image not appearing in EBP:

Please check these simple things (they may give big trouble sometimes).

  • After you maintain URL in the complex characteristic for /ccm/image have you clicked on 'save' ?

  • After you have saved the item Have you published the changes in your master/procurement catalog?

  • Have you checked that the URL you have formed is working correctly in IE browser? i.e. when you paste this URL in browser it brings the correct picture on yr screen?

  • Have you got predefined characteristics clearly in yr master catalog?

Hi Dinesh,

First of all, thanks for CSV2.0 sample.

Regarding the image problem:

URL is working correctly, when i past the browser i can see the image. Anda after wich try i save anda publish my catalog...

But, what do you mean by 'gor predefined characteristics clearly in mt master catalog'?

Thanks for yr help,

Hi Marisa,

Predefined characteristics are those which are generated automatically when your master catalog is created (normally when you initialize CCM by running a report)

The chara /ccm/image is one of them .

Hence inquired whether the generation of predefined characteristics is proper.

They are @27 in nos.

If you are inserting the URL in yr self defined characterisic you need to check for CSV guidelines.

Hi Dinesh,

I dont have /CCM/IMAGE, have /CCM/PICTURE... at item level wrote URL field in /CCM/PICTURE... but still no pictures (even after publishing catalog again).

What else can i do?

hi

/CCM/PICTURE has a data type /CC/ATTACHMENT

so you have to define in your file :

/CCM/PICTURE#/CCM/URL and /CCM/PICTURE#/CCM/MIME_TYPE and /CCM/PICTURE#/CCM/DESCRITPION

/CCM/PICTURE#/CCM/URL is the url of your picture

/CCM/PICTURE#/CCM/MIME_TYPE the mime type (GIF, JPEG,...)

/CCM/PICTURE#/CCM/DESCRITPION the description of your picture.

hi,

Thanks for yr help... but already done that.

/CCM/PICTURE has data type /CCM/ATTACHMENT

/CCM/PICTURE#/CCM/URL has data type /CCM/URL

/CCM/PICTURE#/CCM/MIME_TYPE has data type /CCM/MIME_TYPE

/CCM/PICTURE#/CCM/DESCRITPION has data type CCM/DESCRIPTION

Then i go to item level and fill the url, the description and .jpg (mime type)... and then publish catalog... still can't see any picture.

In SC, if i try to see item info, there's nothing there related to pictures. I uploaded schema with CSV1.0...

Any ideia?

Marisa

Bertrand,

Thank you very much, it worked! We have catalog with image

And now just one more question: as i told before i'me using CSV1.0 to upload the catalog, how can i upload carac /CCM/PICTURE?

(for now it's working in catalog test, i wrote URL manualy...)

Is it possible? What do i need to do to upload all pictures?

Once again thank for all your help.

Best regards,

Marisa

hi,

Yes it's possible, you've to add 3 new column in your csv file.

One column with /CCM/PICTURE#/CCM/URL, one with /CCM/PICTURE#/CCM/MIME_TYPE and one with /CCM/PICTURE#/CCM/DESCRITPION

Hi,

Regarding yr .txt to .csv conversion, I have not done it.

Just for trial purpose I used 'save as' .csv option for a dummy txt file and afterwards I could open the same as CSV file.

You may also give a try whether this way you can convert and upload a txt file.

hi Bertrand,

I've tried to add column /CCM/PICTURE#/CCM/URL,CCM/PICTURE#/CCM/MIME_TYPE and /CCM/PICTURE#/CCM/DESCRITPION to my csv1.0 file... when i try to upload i can't perform this action, cause this 'names' are not recognized.

I tried to give them names: URL for columm /CCM/PICTURE#/CCM/URL and soo on, this way i was abble to upload the calatog but when i go to item level this new field are created not on the /ccm/picture but in separate lines... this way i can't show any picture...

How can e do this correctly?

Best regards,

Marisa
