Error while saving SDS 'Saving has been disabled'

Dear Experts

One of the users is facing an issue while saving the released report (SDS) opened from CG54. When saving the .rtf report it gives error that ' Saving has been disabled'.

The user double clicks the report in CG54 and when it opens on front end, he tries to save it on local pc , at this time the error occurs.

Since this is not purely from SAP and connected with microsoft settings (as I assume), I am not sure how to fix this.

Request your expert advise on this.

Regards,

Ashish Pradhan

Hello Ashish,

You may read and follow the recommendations provided by the below SAP Note:

1570891 - EH&S WWI: Saving WWI reports

Thanks for the reply Camila

I earlier checked the setting for the user as given in the SAP note 1570891 but they already have EnableSave=1 in .wwiini file.

Dear Ashish

potential work around might be: with WinWord you can "print" the document using a virtual printer to generate a "pdf" file. This should be possible (in most cases); but then you have "pdf" and not "rtf" like file

Thanks for the reply Christoph

Yes the user is able to save it in .pdf but not in .rtf. Let me re install wwi for the user again and check.

Dear Ashish

check the local Winword installation and the WWI and especially the WWI.ini

PS: in most cases, a fresh WWI or WInWord installaiton will remove the issue
