Error Movement Type

Hi,

following error shows while creating Entry Document.

Enter Movement Type

Message no. M7018

Diagnosis

You have not entered a value in field "Movement Type" although an entry in this field is mandatory.

System Response

The system cannot continue processing.

Procedure

Enter a value in field "Movement Type" or press F4 (possible entries).

Note:

If the storage location or batch is missing it may be possible to enter * in the field and branch into the storage location/ batch selection list. You can find out whether this function is defined for this field via the F1 help.

Hi Rahul,

Have you done the following activity (Disposal Processing -> Integration -> Material Management -> Configure Inventory Management for Waste Management)?

Is the plant that you enter in the Entry Document listed in this activity?

You are right I didn't maintain the above setting. Thanks....

But When I change above setting & post the entry doc. ,attached error appearing.

Hi Rahul.

In the document Category of your Entry document has at least the checkbutton 'Inventory Management active' checked. One time you create an entry document you must post a Material document, this change the status of the Entry document form CRTE - Created to PSTD - Posted, an Entry document posted in inventory management can't be posted again, if you check the status profile for the status PSTD the operation WA-PRO: Post is forbidden.

In the default settings of Status profile EHS_WMM1.

• In an entry Document with status CRTE you can:
  • Close the entry document.
  • Create a following document.
  • Post a Material Document in Inventory Management.
  • Split the entry document.
• In an entry Document with status PSTD you can:
  • Cancel the previous material document posted.
  • Clear thematerial document posted (when you send the waste to the waste disposer).
  • Create a purchase order.
  • Change the posted quantity in inventory management.
  • Split the entry document.
  • Transfer inside Inventory management the posted quantity.
