Work Order Creation using BAPI

Hi All,

Need to create mass PM order using BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN from notification . Not able to maintain basic start date & finish date as per load file ( excel template ) , BAPI is automatically scheduling the order & giving basic start/finish date based on Scheduled start/end date . Current configuration on scheduling parameters can not be changed .When I create order manually using t-code IW34 , I can maintain basic start & finish date as per my requirement prior to schedule the order . How can we control basic start /finish date in similar way whilst creating order using BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN ?

Hi Lingaiah,

Do you mean that said BAPI does not consider basic start/finish date put in the template , it schedules the order by default ? Is there any option available to switch off scheduling function ?

Hi,

Scheduling parameters not changed in configuration and then in work order, BAPI will override the dates based on scheduling parameters.

Explain the scenario to the technical team to switch off the scheduling function during work order creation using BAPI and last option is to create another order type for upload files without scheduling of work order and then create new work orders based on requirement dates.
