Web based Data Interface API for SAP B1

Hello,

I am new to SAP B1 and for the sake of widening my knowledge about B1 I want to ask as sometimes due to the specified requirements we need to add functionality (let say a POS system) outside the SAP Business One application using SAP Business One Data Interface API, Does SAP B1 allow us to create a web based functionality (POS in this case) and then integrate it using DI API? If yes! then how? is there any standard document for that like tb1300?
