Please explain me what is VIM? In what circumtances it is used?

If you are referring to Opentext VIM, it is Vendor Invoice Management used for processing incoming vendor invoices.

Process involves scanning of incoming invoices ( PO as well as Non-PO based ), checks/validations and posting the invoices either with approval process or directly

plese, so from the basis point of view what's is needed for the VIM ?

I'm facing difficult to find out a clear installation/architectural handbook for it.

I suppose there is at least :

- a sap add-on to be loaded with saint into the Sap ERP system

- a server (windows/unix/linux ?) where to install the Content Server from OT used to store the invoices

- a workstation where to install the OCR devices and utilities

anyone has a direct experience with this product and could share some information ?
