Using BAPI_BUS2054_SET_STATUS - missing required fields

Dear all,
I am trying to use function module BAPI_BUS2054_SET_STATUS to set the system status for a wbs element as documented in the function module help (initialization, execution, precommit, commit).
The BAPI itself doesn't return any error, but function module BAPI_PS_PRECOMMIT returns the following:
Could anybody tell me what the problem could be?
