Hi all, I am testing the functionality of all the contract types in Professional Services to understand the process. For testing the Contract Type "Usage based", in the Plan Customer Project app I have selected the Contract type as "USAGE BASED" and upon giving enter, the fields Product and description are populated automatically. But the "ASSIGNED WORK PACKAGE" field is not showing any data. Can you please let me know how this data is being populated and where should I make the respective setting. Below screenshot for your reference. Also can you please help me with some test scripts to test the end to end process of Usage based/Unit Based Contract type. Any relevant documents to understand this concept from a Sales Consultant perspective would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi Ragavi,
You can use the value help to assign your work packages. Whether, you can assign a work package to a specific contract type depends on two factors: One is the creation date of your billing items, and the other one is the work package type (resource-based, where the services are measured in units of time, or service-based, where the services are measured in units other than time)
For contract type Usage-based you can use only service-based work package types to assign or reassign using the value help.
You can check the workpackage type in workpackage tab in app "Plan customer project".

Thanks Monisha, We did the required configurations for Service based. Now when we try to create DMR for the Project Sales order through "Release billing proposals due for today" app, we get the error "No expenditure item found". Not sure what configurations are missing.
Can you please help me to analyse further on this.
Thanks 🙂
