Hi Team,
We are actually running an AS-IS--TO-BE analysis for a client. The client has the payroll process run for the same payroll period in different currencies for the same person in an non-SAP application. The conversion is been analysed to SAP.
Example:
Consider an employee is from India and deputed for an onsite project in US for one year. His payroll processing has to happen for US in USD with relevant tax calculations, deductions and there is an Indian salary also paid to the employee with the relevant deductions. So the payroll processing should happen for the same employee twice in the same pay period.
As we have the option of Global ID and Personal ID available in SAP, how can this cater to the requirement?
Please provide me pointers on this as early as possible.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks and Regards,
Sridevi

Hi TG,
Thank you for the prompt reply.
The issue is that I have the employee in India below to the India country grouping. However, when he is deployed in US for a project for one year, he is to be paid in USD some salary and the Indian salary with any deductions also needs to be paid.
We cannot hire the person everytime he is deployed onsite. There are many being sent to other countries every six months or one year, so it would be tough to hire the people each time they travel.
So, want to know how to pay an employee in two currencies.
Please provide me your suggestions.
What is the logical differentiation of Global ID and personnel ID?
Thanks and Regards,
Sridevi
Hi Sridevi, Did you try analysing the concept of Global employment? By activating the Global employment, the employee's current PERNR becomes his PersonID which remains fixed for the rest of the period. For each assignment henceforth, the employee gets a new personnel number which is valid only for that assignment. Which means, you can run India Payroll for India assignment and Global payroll for the overseas assignment. Management of global employee could solve your problem. You should also try concurrent employment alongwith Global employee management;

Hope this helps.
