Hi All,

Below is the requirement for upload general tasklist, But i am not able to know how can i go ahead for uploading Task list as per given below requirement .

1. Needs to create single LSMW  for task list?

2. In Which way need to create IBIP structure if there is no tool IBIP.

Please let me know step by step according to below structure (Having 3 Heading 1 Header level 2 Operation level 3 Long text)

Thanks in advance

Hi

I would suggest to Go for LSMW if your are well versed with it or better take ABAPer help and use EAM_TASKLIST_CREATE .

BDC is also a Good Option as once you Golive end user can also use the same easily with required file format.

Hi Devesh,

Better you use BDC to upload Equipment, FL and General Task list. LSMW will have some limitation and as you mentioned that Task list is complicated in your case so better go with BDC.

Dear,

Both BDC and LSMW are on same platform. In LSMW you can change any field any time by new recording and can be done on the spot.Where as in BDC you need to have a separate transaction code for users to execute and changing any field requires change request to move to live system.

So i prefer as  a functional guy we can opt LSMW.

Hello,

You can use SAP LSMW IBIP program to upload the task list : check this post which has LSMW long text for operation , see LSMW exemple attached Re: TASK LIST LSMW

Good Luck

Dear,

Please find the IBIP program to upload for Task lists for Equipment/F/L and Gen. task lists using LSMW.

Here craete two structures one header and other is operations. And proceed regular way to map the fields required for your recording.

Hi Devesh,

LSMW too works well for loading the task lists .Pls. do not use recording method for task lists as it might not be a good idea, you can use standard Batch/Direct Input method. Here you will get standard objects for all 3 types of task lists 470,480,490.

If its a one time activity that your are doing as part of any Project Data Migration, and all these LSMWs, you will be running yourself, you can go for LSMWs.

If that's a repetitive activity, and also if business users too want this upload function, you can go for a BDC program.

Hope it helps.

Saurabh.

Dear,

Its nothing but the recording name of your task list where SAP already made it.

So you can check these in first step of LSMW. or else you can have your own recording by activating th e radio button"Batch input recording"

devesh,

As per my experience, the best option is through a BDC program.  Once developed by ABAPer, it serves forever hassle-free way. LSMW might have issues. I do not have much idea about the IBIP suitability for this. This might be another good option, once it is explored.
