Transfer Request

Also when i finished one customization now i need to transfer it to another client say quality checking client , so how generate those transfer request to move part or whole customization.

Whether the transfer request is created by functional person or ABAPer?

If by functional person how to do it?

Please give me all the stes needed?

when u have finished any cusomizing and save the thing,a transport request gets generated.u have to give a description and save it.

then go to SE10 and release that transport request number.

after this u let know your BASIS consultant to transport that request number to quality server and he/she will do the same.

Hi,

There are two types transport Request.

1. Custamization request

2. Work bench request.

Custamization request can be created directly by a functional consultant in SPRO when you are doing some changes. After doing changes while saving you can click on generate transport request button and save your changes in that request.

Alternatively your superior can create transport request under your used ID in transaction code SE01. In that case after doing the changes in SPRO, while saving you need to click on your own requests. System will show all the requests created under your name by your superior and you can save your changes in any one of them.

Once transport requests are saved, you can go to transaction SE10 to release it so that you can move the request to next client that is unit testing client.(Unit testing client will be located within development server).

For moving the transport request to different client say Quality client then you need to request BASIS team.

Similarly work bench request will be created by ABAPer in their developement client. Note that Work bench requests are client independent, where as custamization requests are client specific. I hope this will clarify all your doubts.

What data that should be maintained in

1. Project

2. Target

3.Status Field

Also i have done one customization and i am in SE10. I want to release that request now . How can i do it , in display, i am able to see those request but dont know how to release that?

Dear Komal,

You select your transport request in SE10 after going inside and click on Truck button( 3rd button from right). And it will take you to next screen where just enter documentation and save.

Then when you press back arrow, you will come back to your original screen.There you can see, your customizing request released.

after doing the customization press save then a prompt screen is going tto come in that at bottom tool bar u can find the button create request then click on that and give the short description and press enter then system is going to generate the request no. automatically and u can store all the work u do under that request no. so that u can transport u work from dev server to quality server

hi,

transport request are transported to other client by BASIS and not by functional consultant.

STMS is to transport to another client-server.

if it is within the same client server Se10
