When you create a PO, you have an option of putting the document date. You can change this date say to any other date, then the date of PO creation.

Hence, SAP has given two seperate fields for tracking and selection.

I hope it helps.

Hi,

ME28 is for Releasing Purchasing Document and hence posting date will not come into picture, since you are not posting the document... rather document date will be the Purchasing Document creation date, which you can enter at the selection criteria.

Pl. reverty in case you need further clarification

Hi Vikas,

So in any case, Posting date is not required in ME28, not like the header pop-op in ML85?

Thank you

Hi

Posting date means the date referring to actual postings like GR, IV etc..PO doesnt trigger any postings. It is not required in ME28.

Thanks

Hi

Enter the release group/ code and execute it to get list of purchase orders waiting for release. You can include document date as selection criteria.

Thanks
