Nothing is like posting date in Release, it is Release date means on what date u have released the PO.

When you create a PO, you have an option of putting the document date. You can change this date say to any other date, then the date of PO creation.
Hence, SAP has given two seperate fields for tracking and selection.

ME28 is for Releasing Purchasing Document and hence posting date will not come into picture, since you are not posting the document... rather document date will be the Purchasing Document creation date, which you can enter at the selection criteria.

ME28 is for release(approval) of purchasing doc.Why do u need posting date for that ???In ME28 it doesn't ask for posting date.

Enter the release group/ code and execute it to get list of purchase orders waiting for release. You can include document date as selection criteria.
