Hi all,
Please can someone analyse the value in the field of TCODE MB5L,i.e where is the value in Materials Crcy (field),Stock Account Crcy(field)and Variance Crcy(field) derive from.
Request clarification before answering.
Hello, Etukmma,
the value of "Materials" specifies the stock amount in MM, i.e. from table MBEW "Material Valuation";
tha value of "Stock Accounts" specifies the stock amount in FI, i.e. the ballance from stock acounts assigned to materials.valuation classes ( via tx OBYX -> transaction BSX "Inventory posting");
tha value of "Variance" is simply the difference between MM and FI;
Generaly speaking, there shouldn't be any variance, as long as nobody posted anything directly to stock account in FI (which should be prevented by setting these accounts as "Automatic posting only"), or you didn't "break" the system in interesting way. So once there is any difference, it's time to think and search for the reason for the difference.
Kind Regards
TomT

value under 'Total debit bal' is a Stock Account ....
(This value is posted to the assigned balance sheet account in financial accounting.)
The difference between Total Value and Stock Account value is variance.
