Dear Sam,

Task list shows which Operations and list of operations required to produce a product. It involves the work center along with Set up Time and Base unit Quantities. Different Operations are performed at different work centers.Base Unit Quantity shows the number of product being made in One hour. I hope it will help you out in understanding the concept of Task List

Hi Sam,

In very simple words Task List= Task (Work) + List, Means a list of work (tasks) which need to be done for making a product. It could be known with different names in different applications (As expert Amit and Debashis explained).

Thanks

Hi Sam,

The purpose of task list is to define the sequece of operations(Work) performed to maufacture SFG or FG(Finished good).

Based on the type of industry(manufacturing process) SAP has segregated the task list i.e

In Production:

For Discrete Manufactring scenario they call it as "Routing"

For Repetative Manufacturing scenario they call it as "Rate routing"

For Process industry scenarion they call it as "Maser Recipe"

In project system module of sap: they call it as "Standard Network"

In Quality Management Module of SAP : they call it as "Inspection plan"

They all have different SAP Transaction codes.

Routing                 : CA01

Rate Routing        : CA21

Inspection Plan    : QP01
