Dear Forum Members
We have just completed the installation of ERP EHP4 SPS08 on our Development ERP system.
During the installation the SPDD entries were processed at the approproate step but the Task relating to the Transport was not released.
The option in transaction SPDD to "Select for Transport" was chosen and although I can see that the file umodauto.lst contains the Transport number for SPDD, the actual Transport itself is still un-released in the Development system. I can also see that the are no files relating to the transport in the "data" and "cofiles" directories as it has remained un-released.
My question is - can I just release the SPDD Transport now after the EHP4 installation is complete and all will be ok when I install on the Test system in that the process will look at the umodauto.lst file and then pickup the SPDD Transport and use it to adjust the SPDD entries automatically in the Test system?
Kind Regards

Hi Mark,
As you said file umodauto.lst contains the Transport number for SPDD, then I think you can release the requests now.
For EHPI run of next system, just make sure in phase ADJUSTPRP the SPDD request is found, then it should be fine.

Hi Sammi
Yes that was what I was thinking. Would I be better to export the transport using tp.exe directly as I dont really want the transport to be in the transport queue in STMS for the Test system which it would be if I used the TMS.
I was just thinking I would export the transport using tp.exe at the command line, this would then give me my data and cofiles at the operating system level (which dont exist at the moment) then EHPI installer tool would read the umodauto.lst file and then access the data and cofiles for the transport.
Does that sound like a plan?
Thanks
Mark
Hi All
Thank you for all your replies.
I raised a message with SAP and they advised me to release the transport - which I did and it released ok from within SE09.
I now have the data and cofiles at the operating system level, and as mentioned before my umodauto.lst file already has both the SPDD and SPAU transport numbers in.
Therefore I will now continue with the ERP EHP4 install on the TST and PRD systems and monitor to see if the SPDD (and SPAU) transports are taken into considerartion.
Kind Regards

HI Mark,
You may give it a try but i feel it wont work. If it doesnt work, then you will have to do SPDD again in TEST system & use that Transport for subsequent systems.
If you dont want to take a chance, then i would recommend you to raise an OSS message to SAP.
Thanks,
Best regards,
Prashant
