Hi,

How the segments are created in SAP ( by which transaction code ) and what is the purpose of creating the segments? What the reports pertaining to the segment ?

Hello Naidu,

Segments are defined in SPRO->ENTERPRISE STRUCTURE->DEFINITION->financial accounting->DEFINE SEGMENT.

Segments are defined here and they are included in the profit center master data.

These Segements are defined according to the business requirements.Some of the clients define their segments according to their business units.Segment reporting is used now as per accounting standards..
